The Process

You Dream it.

The word “Custom” in the name is the most important aspect of my business model. I enjoy projects that are new, unique, and challenging - these are typically the most rewarding in the end. No project is too big or too small… let your imagination run wild!

We Plan it.

My style is that I don’t have a typical “style”. Modern, scandinavian, farmhouse, contemporary, traditional, or a blend - we will work together to design the perfect new addition to your space. First, we will develop a concept and scale, and you will be able to choose your wood species, or your very own wood slab or boards on-site. From there, we get into the specifics that will make the project your own - leg styles, edge profiles, and finishing options just to name a few.

I Create it.

My customers are welcome to be as involved as they would like. I enjoy teaching others and believe that customer interaction through the process makes it all the more special once completed. Please be patient, woodworking takes time… but I promise it will be worth the wait!

  • Sawmilling

Whether by local sawyers or a production mill, this is where it all begins!

  • Drying

Lumber and slabs need to be properly sealed, spaced with “stickers”, stacked and dried to at least 12% moisture content.

  • Selection

Depending on the project, the appropriate wood is chosen with client involvement

  • Creation

The project is assembled, finished, and delivered to its new home to enjoy for years to come!
